The Lost Years of Merlin: Wings of Merlin

An okay fantasy ending to the book series but I personally think that it was rushed and the plot didn't make sense at some parts. Such as who is Sword Arms? All we know about his personality is that he is obsessed at fighting Merlin and killing children. The main villain (Rhita Gawr) doesn't at all have a personality, a spirit warlord of few words. In the continuing different series called Avalon, Rhita Gawr is more developed and there is a sense of urgency. The same sense of urgency is here except that the bulk of the novel is about fighting Sword Arms. And when you get to the ending you will vaguely recollect that the main point was to enlist all the creatures of Fincayra in the (somewhat) epic battle.
Merlin does NOTHING at all to enlist the people's help. He leaves it to his friends while he goes searching for Sword Arms. At least let us know how Rhiannon, Shim, Hallia, Cairpre, Elen, Merlin's shadow, and others got the creatures of Fincayra together again. Because all the creatures are suspicious of other races because of a past wrong.

The Mirror of Merlin

An amazing book about Merlin and his journey in the Haunted Marsh.
This book will reveal many secrets about Merlin and his journey
to Britannia and help King Arthur become the world's best known
king. Merlin travels with his loved one, Hallia of the Mellwyn-Bri-Meath Clan.
Though I have to say that the whole story started with a dumb incident.
Which was to transport a creature back where it came from-The Haunted Marsh
Meh, it was agreeable not too shabby but I'll explain the flaws in the book.
FLAWS:
1. The story revolves so much on description that you will put it
down for a while and think it should have gone for poetry.

2. The story goes so fast, it might leave you confused.

3. The setting isn't too big for the desired adventure.

4. Some characters are way under-developed, just focusing on Merlin and Hallia.

5. Too many thoughts about inner Merlin. Fatal flaw of 1st person point of view.

Million Dollar Strike

Meh, it is an average book nothing more and nothing less. It is about a boy and his friend named Ouchie and Squishy (I know, I think the author wasn't thinking right when he made up the names) who are average players like this book, but from the help of the local bowling alley manager they increase in skill, and knowledge of bowling.
There are pretty weird events such as some doofus clown calling itself Pinhead and trying to sabotage the Bowl-a-Rama, now called Extreme Bowling due to the renovations to the place. The story progresses very fast and you might be wondering how the heck did a police cop enter into the story.
Some of the events are downright unusual to happen and that made the ending unenjoyable. If you want to know the crazy ending read below my signature

Pinhead is caught. Ouchie didn't win a million dollars (did you think it would happen). Mr. Z departed somewhere else in California. A random earthquake obliterated the bowling alley, the Extreme Bowling. Pinhead is the Mayor. The main character is Mr. Z

The Thief Lord

Is about 2 runaways who go to Venice, Italy to get away from their sinister aunt. Soon they are taken in by the Thief Lord and his gang. Though the Thief Lord doesn't seem as he is. Many secrets await you in this thrilling piece of work. There are some sort of semi-villains but really I found out that the "villains" turn out to be friends. This might seem believable to you now but later on in the story there is a fantasy object. Which ruins the whole story of secrecy, thieving, honor, and friendship. Though in the last chapter they kind of save it from going into ruins.
The last paragraph didn't make any sense because it was mainly about some sort of villain and how he becomes the new Thief Lord.

Eldest

Ah the extraordinary adventure of Eragon as he travels to Ellesmera a magical forest where the elves went into hiding after Galbatorix took Alagaesia in his iron fist. There Eragon must learn the ways of the true magic and the art of swords from the elves. Sounds curious and of course it should be because this epic trilogy must come to an end in the next book. This is what I think a trilogy must have spanning over the three books. In the first book you must introduce everything such as the characters, the places, the world, the philosophy, the personal lives of everyone (optional), a quest, a problem, and of course the protagonist/antagonist. It should also leave the reader wanting for more in the next book. So far the author Christopher Paolini is doing all right. The second book can slow down a little but must be not be cumbersome. It should slowly present the solution and develop on it. I have to say Eldest was superb. It really brought the elves' lives into the picture. Every time I might get bored, the story throws a curveball at me and brings my attention right on back.
Though I have to say that the ending was really shocking and you might put your book down to think of all the facts that was subtle, which is now glaringly obvious. Trust me I'm an experienced reader and I read a lot of books that were predictable. This is not, I repeat predictable.
The final book should include the ending (no duh), the final secrets that will blow your mind away, the bad guy defeated with some terrible price being paid, and of course a perfect ending.

I hope Chris can do it for the final (and I hope amazing) installment and not mess up. If you want to know the deep secret read below my signature.

Eragon's father is Morzan. The Rider who betrayed the Riders to the evil Galbatorix. So ironic that his two sons (Eragon and Murtagh) met each other before as friends, are now hated rivals. Ironically that Eragon might save Alagaesia and that his father was the one who helped bring down continent.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Hear all about it the thrilling finale of the Harry Potter series. This book was not as enjoyable as the last 6 because the story moved a mite slow on some parts. A lot of the parts were about traveling and trying to find the Horcruxes a nice little thing to do AS IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO DEFEAT LORD VOLDE- The messenger was obliterated by the horrible curses inflicted upon him...
I'm kidding if you really believed that. Would I really write something that fictional?!
The story as you can see revolves around Harry trying to destroy the feared Lord Voldemort. A wizard with unimaginable power. And only a seventeen year old magician recently got out of training can stop him. What does this boy has that he is the only person to destroy Voldy. Hmmm... let me guess it is something cliche like love or that Harry and Voldemort are tied in ways the reader cannot comprhend?
There are some good parts in this story but I'm not going to ruin it except that Voldemort dies and Harry and the gang are married the end......

Avalon: The Eternal Flame

The thrilling ending to the series is definitely worth the time to read the story.

The three main characters branched towards seperate missions to help save the world. Now when they realize that to do so they have to find unexpected allies from the oddest places.

Scree- As we left of from the last book, Scree (seventeen) is now the leader of the Bram Kie Clan a clan of eaglefolk that went down the drain from plundering and stealing. Scree makes sure to redeem them by going into the Battle of Isenwy. The thing I do not like about Scree's story is that it is too short. It kind of makes up for it by telling Brionna's story. But still there were only two exclusive chapters for the character.

Tamwyn Eopia- This daring 17-year old magician-in-training learned from the last book that the stars in the sky are really doorways to the Otherworld where the spirits live like Dagda and Lorilanda. Bad spirits like Rhita Gawr who is determined to rule over all the worlds starting with Avalon. Sounds cliche doesn't it? Anyway Tamwyn travels to the branches of the Great Tree and battles with Rhita Gawr up in the sky.

Elli Lailoken- A brave 16-year old priestess who goes to most of the realms to seek Kulwych the servant of Rhita Gawr and destroy the crystal of vengelano a crystal that cand wreak havoc in the world of Avalon. Doing so will make it easier on Tamwyn to close the doorways and on Scree/Brionna to win the Battle of Isenwy. They go to Shadowroot and brave all sorts of dangers like death dreamers and the mysterious dark elves.

The end of the story is so sad and touching because all the humans in Avalon have to go to Earth till they behave themselves and not get corrupt. I almost cried when Tamwyn and Elli have to leave their friends in Avalon -Mustachio Man

Avalon: Shadows on the Stars.

The thrilling epic continues with the sequel of the 3 main characters going seperate ways to save Avalon from Kulwych and the spirit lord...Rhita Gawr.

Tamwyn Eopia goes on a major quest to light the stars. A seemingly impossible quest as only one person succeeded and that was Tamwyn's grandfather Merlin (true name is Olo Eopia). He goes with Henni the hoolah and Batty Lad a weird creature, Tamwyn doesn't know. Along the way he meets many fantastic creatures and places.

Elli and Nuic travel in a large group (Elli, Nuic, Brionna, Shim, Lleu, Catha, and a jester) to find Kulwych and destroy a crystal known as Venge'lano, that can unmake anything it touchs, and turn water into poison. They travel the eastern roots to Shadowroot an everlasting place of darkness.

Scree goes on a quest to Fireroot to unite all the eaglefolk and prepare for the Battle of Isenway. A battle that is upcoming. To do it he must be a leader and a true eagleman as he tries to guide the Bram Kie clan.
Along the way he knows the true meaning of death and war.

Travel with these companions and try to help then by keep on reading

Rowan and the Zebak

The fourth book in this amazing installment. Rowan must now go overseas to rescue his sister from the hated foes of the Western continent: the Zebak.

Rowan repeatedly gets prophecies from the Wise woman Sheba as he and three friends fulfill them on their quest. When Rowan goes to the land of the Zebak he expects the worst for him and his friends and unfortunately he is right. The 4 companions must outwit guards, avoid ishkin (you'll find out what it is) meet mysterious folk, destroy the killer birds which took the sister in the first place, and pretty much save the town of Rin, all of them...

With the fourth book over and finished, I cannot wait any longer for the 5th book.
