Children of the Red King: Charlie Bone and the Invisible Boy

There really nothing new to the story, other than the plot and a few new characters. The story is about Charlie meeting a boy named Ollie Sparks who is as you can guess from the title-is invisible! So he and his 8 friends try to rescue him. A few new attachments to the series is the family tree of how the evil Bloors and the vicious Yewbeams are connected. They are not their for show it is vital to the story itself. There are many secrets in this episode of Charlie's life. I can begin to guess who his father, Lyell is, all I can tell is that he is a very good musician player, that is an important clue. There is also a secret revealed about the Joneses-Charlie's mother side-and how it connects with Charlie being a wizard. This book is very good transition to future books of the real battle between the good children of the Red King and evil children of the Red King fight, no matter which generation they are in.

The 8 friends of Charlie Bone (really 6 were helpful in this book). In order of when he got them

Benjamin-A normal human, was (is) Charlie's best friend. Helps Charlie to know what things were going on when he isn't at home. Went to Hong Kong with his parents, so isn't in this book.

Fidelio- A student at Bloor's Academy. Unendowed. Helps when in panic situations. Has a good sense of humor. Doesn't help that much, due to his music concerts, in this book.

Olivia- Unendowed. A drama student who is clumsy, but very loyal. Sometimes helps in critical situations. Could help Charlie to find out gossip and explorative.

Gabriel- A musical student at Bloor's Academy. Endowed. Has the power to tell about the person, if he is wearing the articles of clothing of that person. This is how Charlie knew his dad wasn't dead.

Billy Raven- Endowed. Has the power to talk to animals. An orphan.Was a friend in the beginning of the first book. In the previous two books he was a traitor, but later regretted it and became Charlie's friend.

Lysander- An African student who goes to Bloor's Academy. Endowed. Very powerful. Has the power to call upon his spirit ancestors. Has an equally powerful rival and friend to Tancred for as long as he remembers.

Tancred- A student at Bloor's Academy. Endowed. Has the power to bring storms and weather disasters. Very loyal and resourceful. Though he has temper problems.

Emma- A student at Bloor's Academy. Endowed. Has the power to fly and turn into a bird, real or imaginative. Was hypnotized in the first book, later became a good friend to Charlie.

Charlie Bone- A musical student at Bloor's Academy. Helpful and kind. Sincere and brave. Endowed. Has the power to go into paintings/pictures and bring something from that picture. He can also listen to the voices inside the photo. Sometimes giving light to the mysteries.
